Those who mind don't matter

There are too many minds in life. Too many opinions, too many comments, too many should dos and what ifs and could haves.

Not all of them matter.

There are too many people trying to be smart. There are too many people, acting as if they know it all. There are too many people, telling you how to live your lives.

Not all of them matter.

There are people, who want to help, offering you a piece of advice here and there. But they don’t know the best. They don’t know the right things for you to do.

Not all of them matter.

You will go to strange lands. There, you will face hatred. Criticism. Not all critics help you grow. Not all reviews make you stronger.

Not all of them matter.

The opinions of people who hate what you’re doing. The comments of those who always seem to find something wrong with you. The voices who deem that you will never make your dreams come true.

Not all of them matter.

When you are down, there will be people who insist that you stay down. When you are up, there will still be people who speak whatever they want, saying that your success is overrated. It’s no hardwork, it’s luck. You have no real talent. You’ll never make it work. You’re just another person out of seven billion others. What difference could you possibly make?

Not all of them matter.

Truth is, there will be haters. When you’re going down the road less chosen, there will be people who oppose you. Because you shake their little haven. They have been doing good with living the lives they have always lived. You change that norm. You tell them that there’s another way of living. And that scares them.

So they resist you. They hate you for succeeding. They have second glance, second opinion, second this and that. They think you’ve cheated. You have it easy. You’re not successful. You’re just pretending to be successful. You’re not the real deal. You’re a fraud. You’re weak and you can’t have it all. Sooner or later, the truth will come out.

Not all of them matter.

As the infamous Dr. Seuss said, Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.
